Back to School Season In Shreveport-Bossier Is Officially Over
Today, Caddo and Webster Parish schools are back in session — the last in our area to start classes again. Desoto Parish schools started last Monday, and Bossier Parish schools began last Thursday.
Smooth sailing…for the most part
Schools have returned to session with little to no issues. This biggest issue to arise thus far was an air conditioning problem at Logansport School, which forced an early dismissal for students there.
Caddo Parish starts this school year with a new superintendent. For the time being, Mary Nash Robinson is filling the role of interim superintendent while the school board tries again to find a new leader. Outgoing superintendent Dr. Gerald Dawkins said the school system is in good shape.
Back to school safety and more
When on the roads, it’s important to remember safety tips, such as maintaining a safe speed and keeping an eye on pedestrians.
