Ashdown, Arkansas Woman Killed in Head-on Crash in North Caddo Parish

An Ashdown, Arkansas  woman is dead after a head-on collision between a small car and a FedEx truck in north Caddo Parish.

Caddo Parish deputies say the accident happened at about 11 p.m. on Highway 71 near Ida. 25-year-old Angie Buckelew, of Ashdown, was driving a Nissan Altima when it crossed the center line into oncoming traffic. The Altima smashed into the FedEx tractor trailer rig.

Buckelew was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers on the scene believe alcohol may have been a factor in the wreck, but they will await autopsy results.Buckelew was not wearing her seatbelt. The driver of the FedEx truck was not hurt.
