[UPDATE] A Shreveport murder suspect is now in custody. Police investigators say 21-year-old Raco Allen was linked to the weekend shooting death of 25-year-old Jacoby Taylor.

Allen turned himself in at Caddo Correctional Center, and was then taken to Shreveport Police Headquarters for questioning. Following those interviews, he was booked into the city jail on an outstanding warrant charging him with second-degree murder. His bond is set at $200,000.

[ORIGINAL STORY]  Shreveport police have obtained an warrant for the arrest of 22-year-old Raco Allen. He's been identified as the primary suspect in the city's latest homicide.  

Police were called to the 2900 block of Poland Street just before 10:00 Saturday night.  When they got there, they found 25-year-old Jacoby Taylor dead of an apparent gunshot wound to the upper part of his body.

After talking to witnesses, detectives were able to determine that a man had fired several shots from a moving vehicle into a crowd of people gathered in the neighborhood.  They were also able to determine that a man identified as Allen had fled the vehicle after the shooting and ran off into a nearby wooded area.  Allen is believed to be homeless at this time but is known to frequent the Lakeside area.
