Arrest Made in Monday’s West Shreveport Shooting

Shreveport police detectives have arrested the man they believe is responsible for a shooting in west Shreveport earlier this week. Investigators have charged 26-year-old Dramarea Gant with one count of attempted second-degree murder after he surrendered himself to them this morning at the Shreveport Police Complex. Detectives think Gant shot 29-year-old Alonzo McKinney several times this past Monday near the intersection of Hearne and Corbitt. McKinney is at LSU Hospital with serious wounds. Police continue to investigate the shooting, and ask anyone with information that can help to call detectives or Crime Stoppers.
