Arrest Made in Kidnapping, Beating and Sexual Assault

A Shreveport man has been arrested for an alleged sexual assault and kidnapping in the 1400 block of Missouri.  The victim has told detectives that a man she knew had bound her and brutally beat and raped her for several hours before she was able to somehow escape by fleeing through a window.  Neighbors saw her running naked down the street and called police.  Sex crimes investigators and crime scene personnel were able to collect physical evidence from the scene and develop a possible suspect.  About 24 hours after the alleged crime, 53-year-old Carl L. Scott contacted them.  He was questioned, arrested, and charged with one count each of aggravated rape and second-degree kidnapping.
