Arrest Made in Fatal Shreveport Shooting
A local man is behind bars in connection with a fatal shooting in Shreveport, but he's not charged with murder.
Early Wednesday morning, 28-year-old James Shivers was shot several times in the upper body at a home in the 400 block of Abilene Street. He was taken to University Health, where he was later pronounced dead.
Shreveport police say 24-year-old Dominique Berry is charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. The investigation into Shivers' shooting death continues.
