Armed Robber Identified, Sought

Police detectives are working to apprehend a local man they believe robbed a victim at gunpoint earlier this month.

 Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant charging 27 year old Roderick Morris, of the 6500 block of West Canal Boulevard in Shreveport, with one count of armed robbery in connection with the reported robbery of an adult male victim on November 4, 2011 at a residence in the 2700 block of Southern Avenue. Investigators believe the victim and Morris, who are known to each other, were engaged in some type of dispute during which Morris produced a handgun and struck the victim in the head with it.  Morris then stole items from the victim and fled the scene of the crime on foot. The victim suffered minor injuries.  Morris’ bond is set at $150,000.
