At approximately 12:32 a.m. on July 21, 2011 Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Kenneth Avenue relative to a reported car jacking.  Upon arrival there officers contacted Donald Gaines who advised them he had been robbed of his 2007 Chevrolet by three masked suspects armed with handguns and at least one shotgun.  Gaines described the robbers as black males with bandannas covering their faces. Gaines was not injured during this crime.

Less than two hours later, patrolmen spotted Gaines’ stolen Chevy near the 4000 block of Jewella Avenue occupied by three suspects.  Officers attempted to stop the stolen vehicle and, following a brief pursuit, took the suspects into custody without incident. Authorities located and seized a shotgun and bandannas from the vehicle.  The suspects, identified as 17 year old Demiko Wallace of the 2700 block of Looney Street in Shreveport, 17 year old Scott Houston of the 3100 block of Milam Street in Shreveport, and 17 year old Devrick Lensey of the 2900 block of Abbie Street in Shreveport, were all booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of armed robbery involving a firearm each.
