ASH FLAT, Ark. (AP) — Sharp County Sheriff Mark Counts says a detective in the sheriff’s office has resigned after sexually explicit photos of him were found on a county-owned cell phone.

Counts told The Batesville Daily Guard that Detective Sgt. Ken Guidry resigned Tuesday after the photos were brought to his attention by Guidry’s wife. Counts says Guidry admitted sending the photos from his county-owned phone and has since left Arkansas.

The sheriff says Guidry turned in a letter of resignation after being told he could either resign or be fired.

Counts said the complaint is the first ever made against Guidry.
