Someone in the Lafayette area is going to be out some big bucks...if he or she doesn't come forward soon. As of today, no one has claimed a $10,000 Louisiana Lottery Powerball prize won on March 14th.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Raceway gas station on Johnston Street in Lafayette -- and it's set to expire September 10th. The winner has until 5 that evening to claim the prize -- or it goes into the Unclaimed Prize Fund.

That'll be good news for other lottery players...because it means increased payouts on scratch-off games and player promotions. But whoever holds that winning ticket is sure to be highly disappointed.
