Put on your work clothes, bring your gloves and spray on mosquito repellant.   From 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. this Saturday, February 25, 2012, Cypress Nature Study Center will host an Arbor Day Tree Planting.

Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and 4-Hers will help plant approximately 50 trees around the Nature Center.  Drought, beavers and the stresses they bring have caused a loss of trees along the educational inlet and in the arboretum area of the trails.   This planting will include Bald Cypress and Nuttall Oak, both native to the area.  Those wanting to participate will need to bring gloves, wear appropriate clothing, and have mosquito repellant.

Please join us for a morning of outdoor community service.  In case of rain, call ahead at (318)965-5800.
