KEEL News has learned that a Haughton man is charged with making methamphetamine at his home in a rural part of the parish. 

46-year-old John A. White, of the 100 block of Vantage Pointe, which is just south of Sligo Road was contacted by narcotics agents and deputies after a tip was submitted about a possible meth lab being at that home.  White was subsequently arrested after he showed them a meth lab he was using at his residence.  After obtaining a search warrant, agents also seized drug paraphernalia and approximately one gram of suspected methamphetamine from his residence. 

White was charged with manufacture of Schedule II (meth), possession of Schedule II (meth) and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility for booking, and his bond is pending
