Authorities need your help in identifying and apprehending a suspect who robbed employees at west Shreveport dollar store last night.

At approximately 10:50 p.m. on August 18, 2011, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the Dollar Tree in the 9100 block of Mansfield Road. Upon arrival there, patrolmen learned that two employees there had been robbed by an armed suspect. The bandit accosted the employees as they were locking up the store for the evening and stole a purse from one of the victims that contained the store’s night deposit. No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a heavy-set black male, approximately six feet to six feet two inches tall, last seen wearing a white t-shirt and dark pants.
