An Indian gaming group has announced that it's purchased Margaritaville Resort Casino in Bossier City.

According to a news release, PCI Gaming Authority (PCI) d/b/a Wind Creek Hospitality (WCH), an authority of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, and Bossier Casino Venture (BCV), owner and operator of the Margaritaville Resort Casino in Bossier City, have entered into an agreement in which PCI will acquire 100% of BCV's interest in the property, subject to certain closing conditions, including the approval of the Louisiana Gaming Control Board. No purchase price has been given.

"We are proud of the quality and attention to customer service that characterizes our three successful gaming operations in the State of Alabama," said WCH President and Chief Executive Officer Jay Dorris. "We believe that Margaritaville Resort Casino in Bossier City is a great fit with our operating philosophy and will provide us the opportunity to further establish Wind Creek Hospitality as the premiere operator of first-class casino resorts in the southeast."

BCV Chief Executive Officer Paul Alanis says the group's strong management team has performed beyond his expectations in delivering a consistent, quality entertainment experience for all the casino's loyal customers.

"More than anything else, this has enabled us to succeed in a highly-competitive environment and quickly become a market leader," Alanis said. "I am extremely supportive of this transaction as I believe the Poarch Creek will continue our philosophy of quality customer service and their ownership will be of great long-term benefit to our employees, our customers and the community."

Tribal Chairwoman Stephanie Bryan said the group looks forward to becoming an important contributing member of the Bossier City-Shreveport community.

"PCI's success has been key to our ability to improve opportunity and increase services to our tribal members," she said. "This acquisition will further our goal of building a great company, providing superb customer service, dedicated to and appreciative of its employees and committed to the communities in which we operate."

The transaction is expected to close before the end of this year. In an email, Wind Creek Public Relations Manager Magi Williams said the business will have no further comment until the Louisiana Gaming Control Board approves the sale.

This comes on the heels of another local casino sale. Just last week, Peninsula Pacific announced it had purchased DiamondJacks Casino in Bossier.
