Shreveport mayoral candidate Anna Marie Arpino talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about her campaign and plans for the city, if elected.

Arpino, an accountant by trade, says that getting crime under control is the major problem facing the city and laid out what she called her "nine point system" for reorganizing the Shreveport Police Department, emphatically making the point that she will reallocate manpower and increase police presence in heavy crime neighborhoods.

Arpino also said that her key to revitalizing Shreveport's economy is an out front effort by the mayor to bring new businesses to the area. She cited her work in promoting the building I-49 and the completion of the highway itself as a potential cornerstone of future economic growth.
