Two northwest Louisiana men have been cited for alligator hunting violations.

Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Enforcement Division agents have cited 31-year-old Jon Alsup of Coushatta and 26-year-old William Whitley of Princeton for violations in the Loggy Bayou Wildlife Management Area in Bossier Parish. Both face charges of taking an alligator without a license and during a closed season as well as not abiding by WMA regulations. Alsup was also cited for having an expired boat registration and failing to comply with personal flotation device requirements. They now face possible fines and/or jail time.
