A Holiday Visit to Shriners

Operation Santa Claus visited this week, but another local group pays a holiday visit to Shriners Hospital next week. Chesapeake Energy Corporation has arranged for a special Christmas celebration for the families and patients at Shreveport's Shriners Hospital for Children. The company will be donating a 2009 Chevy Silverado, formerly from Chesapeake's work fleet, that will be used in transporting patients to various activities and out-of-state visits. Then the group is hosting a holiday party complete with Santa Claus, hot chocolate and new, wrapped presents donated by Chesapeake and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana employees. All the festivities take place Monday, December 19th, at Shriners on Samford Avenue.
