A Double Shooting in Shreveport and KEEL News is There
Shreveport Police are searching for a suspect in a double shooting that left one man dead and a teenager injured.
The shootings occurred in the parking lot of some apartments in the LaTierra neighborhood in West Shreveport.
Just before 3 o'clock this morning, police responded to the scene on LaTierra Drive to find a body on the pavement. The man was already dead from gun fire.
A teenager, shot in the back, was taken to LSU Health for treatment of his injuries.
While police wouldn't release any information at the scene, a neighbor told me the victim was a 26-year-old man, whose two-year-old son she was babysitting, when she got the call that he had been killed. KEEL News is withholding the man's name until all family are notified.
The victim's brother visibly shaken cried upon hearing the news at the scene.
Shanara Anderson says the other victim was a teenager who was a friend of the man who died. And that the man who died, got into an argument with a woman, who was the sister of the suspect, and that the sister worked as a stripper.
Anderson says they all knew each other and that the victim lived down the street. KEEL news is withholding the name of the suspect so as not to hinder the police investigation.
