Even though Louisiana-Monroe got to the required 6-wins to become bowl eligible, they will not be playing a post-season game. The Warhawks lost two games to teams from the SEC this year, including a 48-10 loss at Texas A&M, and a 70-21 loss at Ole Miss. But the losses that really cost them were the last two of the season.

After beating South Alabama, ULM had their destiny in their own hands with two games left on the schedule. But ULM lost those two games to Arkansas State and University of Louisiana-Lafayette to close out the season.

After the ULL loss, the Ragin' Cajuns were able to make their way into the Sun Belt Championship game, where they lost to Appalachian State. But getting into the championship was enough to secure ULL a spot in a bowl game.

The Warhawks were one of only 4 teams to reach 6 wins, and be left out of a bowl. The others were Miami (OH), Southern Miss, and Wyoming.
