Music Legend Joe Cocker Dead At 70
Singer Joe Cocker, best known for his cover of The Beatles' "With A Little Help From My Friends", has died of cancer. He was 70.
The England-born singer had a career lasting more than 40 years, with hits including "You Are So Beautiful" and "Up Where We Belong".
Cocker had been battling battling lung cancer for a number of years.
He was propelled to rock n' roll stardom when his version of "With A Little Help From My Friends" reached number one in 1968.
His classic live version came fro his performance at Woodstock in New York a year later.
His duet with Jennifer Warnes, "Up Where We Belong", from the movie "An Officer And A Gentleman" hit number one and went on to win both a Grammy and an Academy Award in 1983.
Cocker, who was knighted by Queen Elizabeth in 2011, had lived in Colorado for nearly two decades.
