A local man accused of robbery is jailed following his arrest by Shreveport Police officers Monday evening.

Back on June 20, 2014, Shreveport Police patrol officers were called to a home located in the 600 block of West 64th Street relative to an assault an battery. During officers investigation of the incident, it was gathered the suspect, 55 year old Calvin Youngblood reportedly committed a battery on the person of the victim and forcibly took the victim's car keys before fleeing the scene.

Shortly after 10:00 p.m. on Monday July 29, Calvin Youngblood was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued in connection with the alleged robbery. Since his arrest, Youngblood, who now faces a charge of Simple robbery, was booked into the Shreveport City Jail. Bond in the matter has been set at 50,000.00
