When you visit the American Rose Center this holiday season for Christmas in Roseland, you definitely need to stop by the area displaying the Christmas Cards to the Community.

The program is celebrating its 23rd year, and was established to "create a unique opportunity to highlight the talents of local students."

Rose Center spokeswoman Beth Smiley tells 710 KEEL prizes have been awarded to the top three designs in elementary, middle and high school divisions, and an overall Best of Show. Here are this year's winners:

Elementary:

First - Fairfield Elementary Magnet
Second - South Highlands
Third - Claiborne

Middle School:

First - Elm Grove
Second - Youree Drive
Third - Caddo Middle Magnet

High School:

First - Calvary Baptist Academy
Second - Evangel Christian Academy
Third - Bossier High

Best of Show:

Calvary Baptist Academy

A reception for participating students and teachers will be held Thursday, December 4, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the American Rose Center.

Something new this year at Christmas in Roseland is the chance for visitors to vote on the People's Choice. Be sure to vote for your favorite Christmas card while you're there. The winner will be announced Friday, December 19.

Christmas in Roseland is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings beginning Friday, November 28, through Sunday, December 21, from 5:30-10 p.m. There are also special Encore Nights December 22 and 23.
