14-year-old Boy Arrested for King Manor Apartment Complex Fire

Shreveport Fire Investigators have made an arrest in this week's King Manor Apartments fire.

A 14-year-old boy is believed to have started the blaze at the Bernstein Avenue complex that destroyed four apartments and displaced five families earlier this week. The teen was booked into the Caddo Parish Juvenile Detention Center on one count of aggravated arson.

The charge carries a maximum sentence of 20 years at hard labor. The teen's name isn't being released because of his age.
