Shreveport Boy Arrested for Bringing Weapons to School

An 11-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly being found with weapons on school grounds.

Shreveport police say the Alexander Learning Center student was seen handling a stun gun in class. He was also found to be in possession of a utility-style knife.

An off-duty police officer working at the school took the weapons and secured them, and detectives with the department's Youth Bureau conducted an investigation. No students or faculty were injured.

The juvenile has been charged with illegally carrying a weapon.
