Nearly a dozen people have been booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on various prostitution charges following an operation by a special task force.

The operation was part of efforts targeting human trafficking and prostitution throughout the state.

The force was made up of the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit, East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, Department of Probation and Parole, Homeland Security Investigations, Louisiana Attorney General's Office, Federal Bureau of Investigation and Delta Drug Task Force.

“Louisiana State Police will continue to remain vigilant as long as those individuals choosing to promote, solicit, and engage in sex crimes remain a threat to the safety of our citizens,” said Louisiana State Police Superintendent Mike Edmonson in an LSP news release. “Louisiana State Police will continue to partner with law enforcement agencies across the state to bring these criminals to justice.”

The following women were charged with prostitution:

29-year-old Navonah Matthews
21-year-old Keyara Vance
21-year-old Carolyn Mourning
20-year-old Latterica Roberts, also charged with being a fugitive from Probation & Parole
26-year-old Ivor Grillier
27-year-old Ciera Jones
30-year-old Alessie Landry
47-year-old Kristy Theriot

These men were charged with soliciting for prostitution:

25-year-old Ronnie Arnold
23-year-old J'ven Johnson
33-year-old Blake Falcon
